Kimberly Yap

Kimberly majored in Bharatanatyam for her Bachelor in Dance at Aswara and completed her Arangetram under The Temple of Fine Arts.

Trained in ballet since young, she also completed her Certification in Ballet Teaching Studies under the Royal Academy of Dance. She has represented Malaysia in performing and teaching workshops at WE Dance under West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong and Asia Pacific Dance Festival 2019, Hawaii.

She performed a solo work, ‘Bayu Tenggara: Bharatanatyam & Chinese Classical’ with the theme INTERWEAVE for a dance showcase at Shantanand Festival of Arts at Temple of Fine Arts Kuala Lumpur in December 2019 and recently showcase her digital solo funded by CENDANA’s Create Now Funding in her work “Ubi Bene Ibi Petria” in January 2021.

She is a certified Progressing Ballet Technique trainer and teaches Ballet actively at Malaysian Dance Centre by ASK Dance Company and Aria Music & Dance Centre
