Maddie Gan

Gan Ning Xuan (Maddie) started ballet, at the age of 3, with the Federal Academy of Ballet. In 2015, she moved to Sandance Ballet and completed her RAD Advanced 2 exam, under the tutelage of Sandra Christian.

In 2017, she graduated from DPAC’s Dancer’s Training Programme (DTP) and has worked with numerous choreographers like J.S Wong, Raymond Chai, Wan Chin Choong, Alexei Dmitrenko, and many more. She was a finalist of the 2017 TDS Ballet Competition. Later that year, Maddie enrolled into the National Academy of Arts, Culture, and Heritage (ASWARA).

In 2020, she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Dance (Performance), majoring in Bharatanatyam. She was also awarded the Best Dance Student Graduate of her year.

With ASWARA, she has learnt numerous dance styles such as classical and traditional Malay dance, Chinese dance, Indian Dance, ballet, contemporary, and so on. She has performed in various dance productions and dance festivals.

Since graduating, she is a dancer with ASK Dance Company (ADC). She is also currently pursuing her Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Ballet Teaching Certificate and continuing her Bharatanatyam studies with the Temple of Fine Arts (ToFA).
